– the mystery at the core of this whodunit spy thriller is intriguing enough, and the execution is slick – even if it does feel more like polished TV than cinematic spectacle. Fassbender’s role is too stiff and robotic to engage on a human level, but the other characters are convincingly messy, and it’s fun to watch them pulled apart with such delectable precision.
