Conclave

– brilliant. The final twist is a bit ridiculous, turning it slightly from a great film about the political intrigue and rivalry of cardinals electing a new Pope into an unnecessary blow in the culture wars, and some of the depictions of characters feel caricatured (in the interests of driving home the conflicting attitudes within the Church), but overall, this is an enthralling thriller, as well as a novel setting for a mystery.
